Task 158, FY 2002, "Survey of State DOT Practice: Private Outsourcing" (Tom Warne and Associates, Inc.). The study has updated the survey used to produce NCHRP Synthesis 246 and reassessed current trends on the use of private sector capabilities by DOTs. The agency's final report was delivered to the joint AASHTO/ACEC committee. Results of the study were presented at the 2002 AASHTO Annual Meeting.
