The goal of this research project was to prepare a report (a) showcasing successful practices in tribal consultation (with all federally recognized tribes) and (b) providing guidance on how to build and maintain successful tribal consultation programs. The sources of these successful practices and guidance include programs implemented by state FHWA division offices, state DOTs, local transportation planning organizations and agencies, and Federally recognized tribes.   The final report is available here.
