LINKING COMMUNITY VISIONING AND TRANSPORTATION INVESTMENTS, T-VIZ (C08)

New suite of visioning tools includes a model approach, a step-by-step process, and case studies along with a guide and website intended to generate consensus and shared outcomes for transportation projects.

By investing in visioning early in the planning process, transportation agencies can generate community support not only for an individual project but for entire programs. This support can help agencies avoid delays in the environmental review and ecological permitting stages.
The T-VIZ website and accompanying training videos are available at
http://shrp2visionguide.camsys.com/.  The final report and case studies are available at http://www.trb.org/Publications/Blurbs/166047.aspx.
