The project provided assistance to TRB-LTPP committees and expert task groups, research contractors, and others to facilitate the conduct of LTPP data analysis studies.

A number of LTPP data analysis projects were being performed by research teams with varying knowledge of the extent and limitations of the LTPP database. To facilitate the conduct of these projects, the TRB Expert Task Group on Data Analysis established the need for having a database specialist available to provide assistance to the TRB Expert Task Group on Data Analysis, NCHRP project panels, and research contractors with issues pertaining to the availability and use of LTPP data in these and other potential NCHRP projects related to LTPP data analysis.

The project consultant participated in several panel meetings and reported on the availability of data elements needed for the proposed LTPP data analysis studies, and also assisted a number of research agencies conducting LTPP data analysis projects with matters related to the retrieval and acquisition of specific LTPP data.
