The major deliverable for NCHRP Project 12-102 was the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) Load and Resistance Factor Design (LRFD) Guide Specifications for Accelerated Bridge Construction (ABC). This guide specification was adopted by AASHTO in 2017 and again in 2018 (with minor revisions). There is an urgent need to demonstrate the use of the guide specifications through training.

The objective of this project was to develop training and conduct workshops to be hosted by State DOTs. In addition to the in-person workshops, recorded training modules will be available online. The training demonstrated the use of the guide specifications through design examples.  The examples apply to all regions within the United States including seismic regions.

The workshops are divided into two training modules:

• Focus on the technical aspect of the AASHTO LRFD Guide Specifications for ABC developed under NCHRP 12-102.
• Focus on the administrative and ABC project delivery aspects.
