The impacts of transportation policies on local, regional, and national economies are dramatic, but difficult to assess. This project identified and evaluated methods to analyze the relationships between transportation and the economy. The project also documented economic analysis methods found useful in transportation policy decision making.
All work has been completed, and the final report has been published as NCHRP Report 342, "Primer on Transportation, Productivity and Economic Development."
