BACKGROUND

Cross modal investments has its’ benefits, drawbacks, and opportunities. Public transportation projects are financed through various funding mechanisms, including federal, state, and local government funds and directly generated funds. Increasingly, cross modal investments are made to support transit projects. Consequently, information is needed to help understand the complexities of and successful approaches to cross modal investments. This research will identify a suite of investment packages and strategies used to support the evolving and changing environment in which many transit projects are now an integral part.

OBJECTIVE
 
The objective of this research is to develop a resource guide that includes lessons learned and strategies that support cross modal projects.
