The this report identifies the most successful rural intercity bus program strategies that have been implemented, and examines the relationship between the demographic, geographic, and funding context of those programs, the current state of the non-subsidized intercity bus services, and the program policies and implementation associated with these successful outcomes. “Successful” approaches for the different contexts are identified and described to provide state program managers and policy-makers with guidance to help them in developing appropriate and successful programs.
Status: The final report is published as Research Results Digest 356.
