Objective: To provide effective strategies for sharing analyzed and unanalyzed reports of suspicious activities and a path to an interoperable set of national, regional, and local threat-information forums. This volume offers information on a variety of approaches to improving the sharing of threat information. Current practices, operational needs, technologies for threat information dissemination, and system functional requirements are discussed.

Status: Completed. The Revised Final Report was received in July 2002. It was published in August 2002 as TCRP Report 86, Public Transportation Security Volume 1, (1 MB PDF) "Communication of Threats: A Guide." The report includes approaches to sharing of threat information and strategies for sharing analyzed and unanalyzed reports of suspicious activities.
