TCRP J-11/Task 25 [Final]

Broadening Understanding of the Interplay between Public Transit, Shared Mobility, and Personal Automobiles

  Project Data
Funds: $89,991
Research Agency: Shared Use Mobility Center (SUMC)
Principal Investigator: Sharon Feigon
Effective Date: 5/31/2016
Completion Date: 11/17/2017

BACKGROUND

Several important opportunities have arisen to expand the scope of TCRP J-11/Task 21 by drawing on important new data sources.  These additional data sources have the potential to build on the findings presented in  TCRP Report 188: Shared Mobility and the Transformation of Public Transit.  The new data sources  will build on the methodology already developed regarding the interplay of transit, shared-use mobility—ridesourcing in particular—and the private automobile. This will help inform the guidance, pilot projects, and other work to be accomplished by a number of transit agencies and federal programs going forward.
