The objective of this research was to facilitate AASHTO’s implementation of the Guidelines for Quantifying the Benefits of Context Sensitive Solutions developed in NCHRP Project 15-32, by conducting several regional workshops to train state DOT personnel in the principles of context sensitive solutions (CSS) and the application of the techniques in the guidelines document to real-world projects or programs.

Appendixes B and C of the project final report are available here for download. Appendix B presents additional case studies that supplement those in NCHRP Report 642, Quantifying the Benefits of Context Sensitive Solutions. Appendix C presents the extensive PowerPoint presentation and instructor notes used in the workshops.
