Completion Date: 5/31/2009

TCRP Project B-31, Guidebook for Measuring, Assessing, and Improving Performance of Demand-Response Transportation, prepared a guidebook for measuring, assessing, and improving performance of demand-response transportation for urban/suburban areas. TCRP B-31A prepared a similar guidebook for rural areas.  The report will be of interest to rural public transportation systems that provide demand-response transit (DRT) services and to the communities they serve. The Guidebook is a resource to assist DRT systems to measure, assess, and improve their performance, focusing on DRT systems in rural areas.

Status:  The report was published in December 2009 as TCRP Report 136.  This project was preceded by TCRP B-31, Guidebook for Measuring, Assessing, and Improving Demand Response Transportation in Rural Areas, which produced TCRP Report 124.
