A PLAN FOR DEVELOPING HIGH SPEED, NONDESTRUCTIVE TESTING PROCEDURES FOR BOTH DESIGN EVALUATION AND CONSTRUCTION INSPECTION (R06)

The final report has been published as SHRP 2 Report S2-R06-RW. The findings of this project related to Nondestructive Testing and its recommendations for subsequent research work in this area are presented in this report.
Nondestructive testing (NDT) techniques that can produce rapid inspection of new construction would facilitate timely reopening of a highway after reconstruction. Adequate NDT techniques are also needed to ensure the quality of construction required for long-term performance.
Project R06 considered NDT needs for rapid renewal and generated 7 related projects (R06A-G). The NDToolbox includes all 7 NDT products and is available athttps://www.ndtoolbox.org/.
