Task 162, FY 2003
Synthesis-of-Practice: Correlation of Bench-Scale and Large-Scale Testing on Rolled Erosion Control Products (RECP) (Colorado State University, Christopher Thornton). The objective of this research was to develop guidelines for the correlation of data from bench-scale and large-scale testing of rolled erosion control products (RECP). The research team compiled test results from both large-scale and bench-scale testing of rolled erosion control products and conducted a comprehensive evaluation of the data. Correlations describing the differences in results between the bench-scale and large-scale data were determined and guidelines for utilizing the correlations were developed and validated. The research was completed in 2005 and the final report sent to AASHTO in December, 2005. (NCHRP Staff: W. Diewald)
