Task 115, FY 2000, "Effective Practices in Consultant Usage by State Departments of Transportation" (David K. Witheford). The study is completed. The report describes effective procedures, used by selected state Departments of Transportation, for working with consultants on design and construction engineering work. Selection procedures, negotiations, project agreements, and management are addressed. The topic was initiated by the Joint AASHTO-ACEC (American Consulting Engineers Council) Task Force. The final report was distributed to the membership of the Joint Task Force and to AASHTO and the ACEC for further distribution to others. (NCHRP Staff: C.F. Jencks)
