The objective of this project is to provide information, assistance, and guidance on how to institutionalize a process for integrating the necessary transportation and safety stakeholders into a comprehensive safety planning process and suggest methods for improving the state of the art.  A literature review and six case studies documenting challenges, opportunities and best practices are provided.

The research is complete and the contractor's final report was submitted to AASHTO.  The report is available here.
